Here's Elvis making a snarly grin. Bad kitty.
I've been neglecting my blog for the last few weeks, but I do have some excellent excuses. First, we moved to a new apartment. Woo-hoo! It's bigger and better, and it has a dishwasher! Yippee! During the move, after lifting way too many boxes of books, I injured myself. Apparently, I herniated a disk in my lower back. Nasty painful. I had to stay in bed for a few days, and nurse myself with codeine-muscle-relaxer-cocktails, and way too many hours watching the Discovery Health Channel (I'm obsessed with medical reality shows.) Sounds awful, right? And I even had to miss work. Oh no! Actually, it wasn't so bad once the pain killers kicked in. I might have even enjoyed my few days in bed lounging with Elvis. Dr. Kitty.
So, I haven't picked up the knitting in a few weeks now. I'm having trouble remembering what I'm even working on. I do have about 25 balls of GGH Aspen on order in a beautiful color of olive green. I'm planning to make my dad a sweater for Christmas. It's a nice cabled-seed stitch pattern, and I can't wait to start working on it.
Oh, check this out... I found this groovy little storage thing at Ikea. It hangs from the ceiling, and is great for storing yarn. And it was only 6 or 7 bucks!
